The Return Pair.
Familiar faces, a fresh one — the format running at its streaming-era middle register.
A rhythm worth tracking.
Season twenty-two offered the mild novelty of a new coaching debut — Camila Cabello's pop instincts gave the blind auditions a different angle — alongside the reunion of Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani, which generated its own warmth. John Legend's return steadied the panel. The season didn't find the urgency of a full coaching reset, but it ran with competent mid-run energy and enough personal chemistry between the coaches to stay watchable throughout.
The #23 slot.
Slot #23 of 29 in the The Voice Editor's Canon. The seasons on either side show what I ranked it against.
