Season twenty-nine carried the gravity of a final chapter. Kelsea Ballerini's coaching debut gave the blind auditions a new angle while Reba McEntire, Michael Bublé, and Adam Levine provided the continuity a closing season earns. The format ran with the focused energy a series finale generates — coaches and contestants both aware of the occasion. The show closed with the same format integrity it brought to its debut, which is a cleaner exit than most long-running competition series manage.
