The New Blood.
New blood doing exactly what it should: making everything else recalibrate.
A rhythm worth tracking.
Leah McSweeney's debut is the most energized cast-addition story since the earlier runs. She arrived without deference to the existing hierarchy and the show let that friction play out. The established cast had to respond rather than absorb, which sharpened everyone. Newport adds its own class register — useful contrast against the Manhattan baseline. A mid-run entry with a genuine cast story at its center.
The #10 slot.
Slot #10 of 15 in the Real Housewives of New York City Editor's Canon. The seasons on either side show what I ranked it against.
