The Cartagena Run.
A cast that knows each other well enough to be genuinely dangerous. The format rewarding patience.
A rhythm worth tracking.
Season ten works because the cast had time to develop something genuine. The Manhattan dynamics had layers by this point — history, alliances, grievances — and the season uses that history rather than restating it. Cartagena is the strongest group-travel location the show had visited, far enough from the city to strip away its social conventions. The Vermont retreat is lighter but adds comedic air. A mid-run entry that delivers on what its cast had built over several seasons.
The #07 slot.
Slot #07 of 15 in the Real Housewives of New York City Editor's Canon. The seasons on either side show what I ranked it against.
