The Shake-Up.
The cast and the calendar both changed — the show rose to meet one of them.
A rhythm worth tracking.
Season fourteen made two simultaneous changes: a longtime supporting player promoted to full-time status, and the franchise moved its premiere window by six months. Both shifts are audible in the season's texture. The promoted cast member brought decades of franchise history into a full-time slot, which gave her central storyline genuine weight. Jamaica was the season's strongest stretch. A conflict between two established cast members carried the Atlanta material. Functional, occasionally sharp, rarely at the show's ceiling.
The #11 slot.
Slot #11 of 15 in the Real Housewives of Atlanta Editor's Canon. The seasons on either side show what I ranked it against.
