Season twelve carries more weight than its episode count suggests. A key returning cast member sharpened the season's dynamics — the group was more engaged with her back in it — and the 26-episode run gave the show room to develop those threads. Athens and New York gave the season its travel highlights. The virtual reunion, filmed under COVID restrictions, was a first for Bravo and gives the season a historic quality that sits outside the drama itself.
