Ionian Islands.
The season that built the architecture — rough at the edges, essential to everything that followed.
A rhythm worth tracking.
The Below Deck franchise moved to a sailing yacht and the Greek Ionian Islands, and the format had to rebuild itself around the new vessel's demands. Captain Glenn Shephard commanded his first charter crew through waters that rewarded seamanship over horsepower — a technical register the motor yacht show had never required. The Ionian backdrop gave the show a Mediterranean clarity from the start. Unpolished in the ways origin seasons always are, and foundational for the same reason.
The #04 slot.
Slot #04 of 5 in the Below Deck Sailing Yacht Editor's Canon. The seasons on either side show what I ranked it against.
