Croatia.
The season where the sailing-yacht format proved what it could do with the right coast and the right crew.
A rhythm worth tracking.
The Croatian Adriatic gave the show its best visual material: Split's stone harbor, Hvar's lavender-and-limestone coast, long open passages south toward Dubrovnik. A cast that found friction across the deck and interior departments without letting a single storyline crowd out the rest. Captain Glenn's command was tested sharply enough to matter. The sailing-yacht format's quieter register — no engines drowning out the water — paid off most fully here. The creative peak of the five-season run.
The #01 slot.
Slot #01 of 5 in the Below Deck Sailing Yacht Editor's Canon. The seasons on either side show what I ranked it against.
