Malta.
The best Sandy-led season since Dubrovnik — the cast, the island setting, and the command dynamics all worked together.
A rhythm worth tracking.
Season 7 settled into Maltese waters — Malta, Gozo, and Comino providing a close-set island geography that pushed the format into shorter passages and tighter port dynamics. Twenty episodes gave the cast room to build genuine friction across all three departments. The M/Y Home's 163-foot profile gave charters a distinct scale. Captain Sandy's command found the kind of organized pressure that the format needs to run well. The season's cast chemistry made the long run feel earned rather than padded.
The #02 slot.
Slot #02 of 9 in the Below Deck Mediterranean Editor's Canon. The seasons on either side show what I ranked it against.
