Twelve teams started from Miami, one more than the standard, and the cast bumped wider than any other early run. The route swept across Europe, the Mediterranean, and Asia, with longer driving legs and a heavier Fast Forward count. CBS held the show in the Thursday hour through the fall of 2002.
