The Return.
The cast reorganized itself around one return. Good television almost always does.
A rhythm worth tracking.
The season organized around a gravitational event: Bethenny Frankel's return after four seasons away. The cast had evolved into something without her, and her reentry forced a recalibration the show let play out without interference. Dorinda Medley joined simultaneously and arrived fully formed — sharp, funny, and immediately essential. The Turks and Caicos trip added the requisite group-travel pressure. A season with a clear engine, a strong cast, and the confidence to let the central tension breathe.
The #02 slot.
Slot #02 of 15 in the Real Housewives of New York City Editor's Canon. The seasons on either side show what I ranked it against.
