Season thirteen restored what season twelve couldn't access: the full environmental pressure the format depends on. Remote international wilderness, a casting approach running at standard depth, the 21-day structure operating without compromise. A recovery season that doesn't need to announce itself — it just runs the format the way the format is supposed to run. The evolution era closes here, and it closes at full scale. That counts for more than a constrained season executing earnestly on reduced ambition.
