The New Panel.
A panel overhaul in motion — the format holds steady while the judging dynamic rebuilds.
A rhythm worth tracking.
Season six is honest about what it is: a year of transition. Christina Tosi's arrival brings a distinct pastry sensibility to the judging table, and the format absorbs the change without breaking stride. Graham Elliot's exit closes the founding era's original lineup. Twenty episodes run the Mystery Box and Elimination Test structure cleanly, and the home-cook bench is capable. The new panel chemistry is still forming, which keeps the season from reaching the heights of the founding era's best runs.
The #09 slot.
Slot #09 of 16 in the MasterChef Editor's Canon. The seasons on either side show what I ranked it against.
