01The take

The Milestone.

The franchise's most ambitious season — twenty-five episodes, two countries, and the format stretched to its limits.
02The shape of the season

A rhythm worth tracking.

Season ten is MasterChef at its most ambitious. The milestone tenth anniversary brings the show's longest episode count, a new Battle Pass mechanic that changes how immunity and advantage are earned, and the first international field challenges in the US series — filmed at Hatfield House in England. Guest judges Grant Achatz and Masaharu Morimoto raise the culinary stakes. Ramsay, Sanchez, and Bastianich are a settled panel. The ambition is earned.

03Where it sits in the canon

The #03 slot.

Slot #03 of 16 in the MasterChef Editor's Canon. The seasons on either side show what I ranked it against.
