Las Vegas.
The address changes; the format doesn't. That's both the season's identity and its ceiling.
A rhythm worth tracking.
Season nineteen is the show's first Nevada production, built on a purpose-constructed set at Caesars Palace that puts the cast in the shadow of the actual Hell's Kitchen restaurant. The geography is genuinely new — the first time production moved out of California — and the season introduces the Spells Kitchen Challenge, a new ingredient-identification format. The cast of eighteen runs the familiar red-and-blue structure. The location carries the season's identity; the format underneath is recognizable throughout.
The #19 slot.
Slot #19 of 24 in the Hell's Kitchen Editor's Canon. The seasons on either side show what I ranked it against.
