All-Stars.
Returning competitors who remembered their training raised the choreographic floor to a level no standard-cast season had opened with.
A rhythm worth tracking.
Season fifteen ran the first All-Stars edition of the format — a returning cast of former competitors who brought retained choreographic technique back into the ballroom. The early episodes reflected that immediately: the usual week-one adjustment period was compressed because the cast had been there before. Thirteen episodes gave the competitive arc full room. The nostalgia energy gave the season a distinct emotional register that standard casts can't replicate.
The #09 slot.
Slot #09 of 16 in the Dancing with the Stars Editor's Canon. The seasons on either side show what I ranked it against.
