Slot #27 of 27 in the Big Brother Editor's Canon. Twenty-seventh, and the floor of the canon for a straightforward reason: no other season enters at as structural a disadvantage. Winter Couples was slotted into an off-season broadcast window before a single houseguest was cast, which means the season most below it in reputation — MVP Summer — at least got a normal summer's runway to go wrong on its own terms. This one didn't have that chance. The pairing twist compounds the problem rather than offsetting it, locking the cast into a premise before the room could generate its own dynamics. Last place here isn't a verdict on the cast so much as on the circumstances the format handed them.
