01The take
Grenada.
A format reset with a new captain, a new voice, and a Caribbean island that gave the era its own visual register.
02The shape of the season
A rhythm worth tracking.
Grenada marked a genuine turning point. Kerry Titheradge brought a more hands-on command presence than his predecessor — quicker to involve himself in crew dynamics across all three departments. The spice island's lush coastline and reef-rich waters gave the new era a visual identity distinct from the Lee Rosbach runs. A crew adjusting to a new authority figure generated real friction. Strong enough to rank above the comfortable mid-tier.
03Where it sits in the canon
The #05 slot.
Slot #05 of 12 in the Below Deck Editor's Canon. The seasons on either side show what I ranked it against.
