Western Australia.
Further from anything, which turned out to be exactly the right pressure for the format's second Australian chapter.
A rhythm worth tracking.
Western Australia put the franchise in genuinely remote territory — the Ningaloo Reef and Coral Bay coastline, far from the tourist infrastructure of the Whitsundays, with longer open-water passages and fewer port calls. Captain Jason Chambers adapted his command style to the stripped-back context. The charter dynamic had a different texture when guests arrived in one of Australia's most isolated marine environments. A reliable second season that demonstrated the franchise's ability to work at the edges of the continent's coastline.
The #02 slot.
Slot #02 of 2 in the Below Deck Down Under Editor's Canon. The seasons on either side show what I ranked it against.
