The franchise's first rural-archetype lead — an Iowa farmer from a town small enough that the producers shot the hometown stretch as a full editorial set piece. Arlington gets airtime no Bachelor location had received outside the international travel runs. The casting tilts toward women who register the contrast cleanly on camera, and the cocktail parties carry a different charge knowing where the season is heading.
