The Panel in Stride.
Year two of the sharpest panel in the show's run — the critique has developed a groove, and the auditions are better for it.
A rhythm worth tracking.
Season seven runs the same panel as the year before, and familiarity pays off. Howard Stern, Sharon Osbourne, and Howie Mandel have developed real working shorthand — Stern's precision, Osbourne's warmth, Mandel's comic instincts. Disagreements feel genuine rather than performed. The audition pool runs wide, and the live rounds move with the confidence of a format that knows its own shape. A strong mid-era season that holds the show's credibility without trying to reset it.
The #08 slot.
Slot #08 of 20 in the America's Got Talent Editor's Canon. The seasons on either side show what I ranked it against.
