Season twenty-one is the Cowell-Mandel-Vergara-Mel B panel's second year together, and the shorthand shows in how fast the table moves — critiques land quicker, disagreements resolve without the feeling-out period the prior season needed. The doubled Golden Buzzers change the math too: a judge doesn't have to hoard the moment for one favorite, so the buzzer starts landing earlier instead of building toward a single late peak.
