Blind Date.
Five pairs of strangers met their racing partners for the first time at the starting line, run alongside six established couples on a route through Asia, Europe, and Africa.
A casting concept that makes the first leg a first date — strangers learning each other and the format at the same time.
A rhythm worth tracking.
The race ran a casting experiment for its spring outing: five blind-date pairs met their partners at the starting line, racing alongside six established couples. Eleven teams left Castaic Lake into a twelve-leg route through Japan, Thailand, Germany, France, Monaco, Namibia, the Netherlands, and Peru before a Dallas finish. CBS held the Friday hour and built Date Night rewards and a Blind Double U-Turn into the legs, so the strangers learn each other and the format at the same time.
