Season twelve returned to the Canadian Arctic — the sub-Arctic wilderness that season seven used to open the Colby era — with a fresh cast and no structural novelty beyond the location itself. A new field facing the same extreme demands: intensive shelter requirements, unforgiving caloric math, sub-zero conditions. The environment is unchanged; only the survivalists are new. A reliable entry that earns its place in a deep canon without resetting what the show can do.
