For Frozen, the ranking weighs the format's structural choices — winter setting, returnee cast, shared prize — more than outcomes. With one season in the canon, the position reflects how the run measured up against the parent show's best work.

How I weigh it

The core question: does the experiment justify itself? Frozen changed three things at once — the cast, the climate, and the prize structure. A shared prize pool is a real departure for a show built on individual endurance. The Labrador winter raises the bar. The returnee cast adds something the original never tried. All three changes deepen rather than dilute.

The only entry in the canon, and it earns its placement by doing something structurally distinct from the parent show. Six returning players, Labrador in winter, and a shared prize pool replace the solo-competitor-wins model with a collective endurance question: how many people can outlast the cold together? The Labrador setting is genuinely harsh — deeper cold, earlier darkness, and a landscape that demands different gear thinking than a coastal forest. The returnee structure also shifts the viewing experience: you arrive with prior knowledge of each survivalist's limits. As the founding season, it holds every rank by default — but it would hold this one on merit regardless.
