The Australian version's boldest location leap yet went to Finland's Sápmi region — Arctic terrain that puts ten survivalists into cold-weather survival for the first time in the format's run. Ten episodes, tied with Fiordland for the tightest order yet, mark a genuine departure from the wet, temperate conditions of the first three seasons. Producing self-filmed footage in sub-zero conditions forced new solutions for camera care, battery life, and daylight scheduling that no earlier season had to solve.
